Fife dentist has been struck by the General Council of neglect dental teeth of five
patients for more than a decade.
Robert McIntosh, who found training in St Andrews until 2003 that the patient is not
so bad was supervised neglect.
Three other dentists in dental Inchcape lower teeth free from all five patients.
McIntosh has decided that for serious professional misconduct.
He had failed to take proper X-ray to keep appropriate records, the rot to diagnose
or advise on oral health.
One of the patients, 30 treatments to correct problems such as the renewal is always
toppings 16.
President of the Ethics Committee of the GDC, said Shiv Pabary McIntosh inaction
amounted to neglect for many years to their needs.
Mr. Pabary told the hearing: Mr McIntosh failures to provide adequate care to
provide some basic aspects of dentistry, and found that for a long time that it can
be considered very serious.
There was significant evidence of continuing a pattern that can only be described as
negligent supervision as a series of errors caused by the actual risk is
recognized for the patient.
In many cases, there is a significant and permanent damage to teeth and could have
been avoided. He added that the public was put at unacceptable risk.
McIntosh said he would not practice dentistry again, but denied charges of
misconduct.
The committee decided that it was guilty of grave professional misconduct and that
the only appropriate outcome was to find record.
